congrats on day 3 Osto!!!! Awesome job. This is the tough part....soon everything will smell and taste fabulous. Maybe get some of those Rainer Cherries in season right now. YUM> About work people, yeah they just aren't excited for you are they? Same where I work. Here's the kicker, I used to be just like them, when my office mate quit a year ago, she knew I didn't want to hear it. She did it regardless, I will too and so will you. Meanwhile you have all of us and we are thrilled for you!!! Reward yourself, it totally helps. osto There seems to be a whole psychology around the still smoker observing the efforts of soon to be non-smoker....I believe that deep down every smoker wants to stop, and when someone such as your good self goes for it, the rest begin to feel a little left behind and in some case resentful...I would not let that concern you though, this is all about you and YOUR QUIT...Perhaps yours will be just the inspiration others need to realize that they are not doomed to be doormats of the weed, they just need to get busy as you are doing... Good Luck, this is a tough road, but I can't think of a better one to be on... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 196 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,880 Amount Saved: $1,372.00 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 21 Mins: 25 Seconds: 40

Osto, Your situation isn't uncommon. Remember this quit is for you and you have a cheering section waiting for you when you get home. Keep changing your work routines and keep practicing your new ones. The association you hold with smoking is sure to break soon. Congrats on day three! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Way to go, Osto! Walking a little more can't hurt anyway & it's good to shake up your routines when they relate to triggers, so good idea! You're doing awesome, it will start getting easier soon! Great job osto! Yeah, people are funny in the support department but that's why it is so important to stick around here and to reward yourself. Really only people that are going through it or have been there can realize all the small achievements that go along with quitting. Sunflower seeds and licorice are also good if you want to shake things up. You are doing great. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Well day three is almost over. I will say I can breath better and taste things now. But the cravings have been tough. Not as bad as I thought they would but time will tell. The hard thing is when I am out patroling on the park in the truck. I have now started to park it and walk around parts of the park to do my patrol. It is kinda helping. I do know one thing i am chewing the heck out of gum lol. The one thing that is really making it hard on me is the support. I really don't get it here at work. They seem to want you to fail. I guess in a way they can say I told you so. But I am going to make them eat them words. Well have a great day or evening all My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/7/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 62 Amount Saved: $10.54 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 27 Seconds: 18
