A journal is an excellent tool...Remember as addicts we are both the jailer and the jailed. In many ways it is a lonesome struggle, but be thankful for this site and post as much of your journal as you wish. What you might consider a foot note someone else may see as a revelation.
I know this is not easy, but you are doing it and that is all that matters. Smoking is a ritualistic learned behaviour and as such we must learn other behaviors that will supercede the need to choke the smoke.
Take this one day at a time and become a good observer of yourself. In order to overcome this we must in effect stand naked in the light of our own awareness...That can be painful at times and down right chilly, but it will help you become more of the person you really are as opposed to the one who has hidden behind a veil of thin blue smoke for way to long...
Welcome to the fight, stay close by and learn all that you are able to concerning the depth and breath of this addiction...You are not alone and that fact will help you through many a hard time...
