Gonna, what is Windy going to say. I didn't think you hop beds :eg: I don't eat MMs in bed because I don't have any :( But I do have hard candy for the nights, but I really need to cut that out. I keep water by my bed also. I am so boring, crying out loud. Maybe we should get the girls together and join you. M&M, Chex mix and how about Love Story. Sorry Phil, Bear and you other gentelmen, girls only. New me, I've been gobbling dark chocalate M&M's. I love them! I would never be able to quit if I had to. You might say my figure is getting more shapely but I will deal with that later. I am making sure that I am getting plenty of exercise though and I never eat in bed, I just eat everywhere else all the time. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 52 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 728 Amount Saved: $182.00 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 17 Mins: 59 Seconds: 36

OH, you all make me laugh...and that's a good thing. Gonna, DIET coke?? no way, i need all the sugar and all the caffeine!!Oh my, my, unhooked, you rascal. But, you are right, I dont' want to gain a bunch of weight. Over the past two years of seesawing between smoking and not smoking, I have gained 15 pounds, (went from an 8 to a 12, yikes!, now back to a 10) but recently lost 5. And I dont want those back. I will make the m & m's a treat from now on..I ate the rest of the bag last night (the jumbo bag, of course), so I will steer clear of Walgreens for a while. Somehow, it doesn't seem as fun, taking a straw to bed. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,056 Amount Saved: $220.00 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 1 Mins: 39 Seconds: 6

I dunno....... Laying in bed eating Chex Mix and M&M's sounds pretty good to me! If you're washing them down with Diet Coke and got a sappy movie on the TV, scoot over...I'm joining ya! Eating in bed, new me? Never!! There are only 2 things you should be doing in bed & eating isn't one of them. It is better than smoking of course but you will be mad at yourself if you gain a bunch of weight & then have to break the m&m's & Chex habit, too!! Try the straws, it can't hurt. Or maybe fruit & veggies. New me, Start brainstorming other distractions for your mind & mouth you could use. Some members have found it helpful to suck on sugarless candy, brush their teeth, engage in physical activity... Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

m and m's + chex mix = better than smoking :) I was addicted to sunflower seeds. Had to give them up recently because of weight gain :( Now, I just eat them as a special treat on a rare occasion! You're doing great NewMe...just a few short days and you will board the ship! I lay in bed and read or watch tv for a little while each night before I turn out my light. Gosh, I get this restless feeling and am stuffing my mouth with chex mix (carbs galore) and then m and m's (chocolate and fat galore). It is frustrating. I need to cut it out. Maybe chew on a straw????? just venting, I guess. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 43 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,032 Amount Saved: $215.00 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 23 Mins: 42 Seconds: 35
