Carlos, Did you know that nicotine suppresses appetite? Now that you've quit, it's not wonder you are starving. You should also be aware that nicotine increased your blood sugar and now that you've quit it's likely to take a dip so it's important for you to eat right. Congrats on day 1! Don't forget to reward yourself! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Carlos, I read and have been told that hunger pains and a crave feel like the same. Take a moment and ask yourself am I really hungry or is this a crave. Wait five or ten minutes and see if it leaves. While waiting drink some water and do some self-talking. Hope this helps. Works for me and I have managed with this quit to hold my weight and even a loose a couple pounds. I am just tickled with holding my weight for now. Hope you can get back to your spinning. That sounds like fun. Worry about the quitting first Carlos, the weight is easier to get off later on, and you need to "treat' yourself well while you are quitting! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 120 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,000 Amount Saved: $1,266.00 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 17 Mins: 34 Seconds: 7

Glad you're feeling better Carlos. A smoke will not help, it will tast awful, smell awful & not change a thing. A tip: don't let yourself get too hungry, it's an opening for the junkie & he will take it. You're doing awesome, keep it up!
