yep, even to non smokers some cigars smell pretty good. When I was a kid I remember my Godfather smoked cigars and I liked the smell of them if I was a good distance away. His wife smoke cigarettes I didn't care for the smell of those. Bless them both, they both died from smoking related illnesses. Don't ever apologise for being a non-smoker! You'd better change that mindset right now! Respect his right to smoke but BE PROUD that you don't!! You know what Bear - that man stated that he wished he could quit. He probably smoked that cigar thinking about what a strong willed person you are. Maybe he will continue to think about his own life and make some changes....Did you happen to mention to him that you will be going to the beach soon with a goat, a horse, and a sheep? Bear I'm so proud of you not taking that cigar. You really need to give yourself credit and I admire your strength!!! I know it was a tough thing to do but you did not accept it and let the gentlmen know that you quit. He obviously was envious of your quit and hold that close to your heart because you have come a long way and fought the crave. Trust me it isn't worth giving up on your quit!!! You would regret it!!! You did the right thing and posted and keep posting. Don't give up!!! i'll be back soon and need your bear strength. Oops did I put pressure on you?? You know what I mean :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: -10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: -350 Amount Saved: $-110.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: -74614

Bear, that's great!! Being tempted doesn't make it less great, resisting the temptation is what counts. Bear, You did good!! Don't even try and figure it out. At this point..just say NO..and go with the flow. Do they still sell big wads of gum shaped like a cigar? The little paper thingy on it and all? Bear, Exactly as BFS said, it's very normal to still be tempted at this point. Learn from this experience. This situation is what we call a high-risk situation because you are at high-risk for a slip. Have a plan! Take the hesitation out of the equation! Danielle ____________________ The SSC Support Team

Why shouldn't we praise you?!?! After 82 days, it's normal to still be tempted... especially when you have one right there in front of you! But the difference between keeping your quit and losing your quit is what you do with those thoughts. It's not a bad thing necessarily that you thought about it... we've ALL thought about it at some point or another... but the fact is that you resisted that temptation. This IS something praise worthy!!! Be proud of yourself! Crave the Quit!
