I've been on chantix for almost three months now. It messed with my sleep as well, but then again I am kind of a weird sleeper anyway. Some nights couldn't go to sleep, other nights woke up in the middle of the night. I figured it was worth it for the help it gives me in staying away from the smokes. Yes, on the receptor answers.. When nicotine,or chantix, binds with the certain recptors....something like niconoids, but that's not quite it, they in turn stimulate dopamine output...i think that is the mechanism. In any event, the chantix replaces the nicotine in your brain, rather than in your bodyas NRTs do.
You are doing fine...just don't slip on those gumballs...lol
