Congrats on day 3 Nilbey... I was just like you and totally spaced. I couldn't concentrate on anything until about day 4 or 5. A massage really helped me, oddly enough!

Thanks, guys, for all the support. Day four is much better, and I even forget to take my gum half the time. I think I may do away with it. Spacey-ness is nowehere near where it was 2 days ago, though it's still there.
My quitting buddy gave up her quit after 3 days, though, and that was a bit disheartening. But her quit is not mine - it took me 2 other tries to get here, and she never has before. I'm still sticking though. I woke up this morning and for the first time in a long time my face didn't feel greasy and I could take a deep breath right off. If that doesn't make it worth it right there, I don't know what would.
Thanks again :-)

Nibey,
I just got through "hell week". And I know what you mean! But it does get better even after 7 days! I just had someone complement my skin today! That was a huge boost for my quit. Just hang in there and DON'T smoke. It is soooooooo worth it! ~Valic

On the contrary you may well be seeing yourself for the very first time. Keep on going, I wouldn't want you to miss meeting yourself...Congratulations on your decision, its the best thing you could possibly do for yourself...
When I first quit I felt like a bobble head doll...
Your heading in the right direction.

Hang in the Nilbey !!!!
Yesterday I finished my day 2 and I was not there either! I think I spent most of the day crying and feeling sorry for myself, BUT I DIDN'T GIVE IN .
You can do it. These first few day are killers but I know if you hang in there it will get better.
I feel much better today (day 3) than yesterday.
Do some knitting it will keep you hands busy or eat sunflower seeds.
We'll be here for you. :8|:

Hi Nilbey, Being spaced out if common. Your brain is not used to getting so much oxygen. We are usually feeding our brains carbon monoxide with the cigs. It is so wonderful that you have not even considered smoking. That is the attitude! Just do not light that next cig and you will be a non smoker. This is all worth it.

Put those relaxation techniques in gear! Relax yourself and take the time to rest your body. It is healing and needs some rest :)

I'm 1/2way throught the day, and I am not all here. I feel like I'm just watching myself from 2 streets away. And I'm really tired. It seems like it's worse this time around than it was before. Anyway, I'm just feeling a bit whiny and wanted to complain a little. Even feeling like I'm the valley girl from hell hasn't brought me even close to smoking, so I guess that's something. :-)
