Thank you all for your wonderful replies! I am winding down my day 2. Not too bad today but we got out of work early because of the holiday. Tonight we have dinner w/some of hubby's family. That should end the day on a sweet note especially since I don't have to cook! I will prolly be here this weekend reading, reading, reading. Oh and the deep breathing techniques worked wonders. Thanks everyone have a wonderful, safe, and SMOKE-FREE weekend, ~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5 Amount Saved: $5.30 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 2 Mins: 58 Seconds: 28

It is all part of the learning process, Valic. Many of us have been there in the past with slips - I think that maybe in the long run they help us attain a permanent quit. Glad to hear you are back on your quit again. Hang in there and this time if you need help, give a yell! (Have you tried throwing virtual dishes? Supposedly that helps!) Try telling those cravings to take a hike when they hit - works wonders for me. Valic, I am so proud of you for coming back and trying again! There are so amny of us who quit a hundred times only to give in to the drug again and again. With a site like this to help you, you go for it girl! I wonder how many of us which we had quit at 28, rather than double that and plus! Bravo for you! What a great opportunity you have, valic, to quit at your age. I wish I had been that aware & that strong back then. Hang in, you're doing it! valic, I think the most important thing you said in your post was that you are learning from your mistake (or really, just a bad choice) and that you know why you did it. That is really important. Also, the health benefits of quitting before you hit 30 are HUGE. I know because I have already proven Mr. Penitent wrong and you can join me ;) You are almost through Day 1, make sure you've got some rewards planned too. All the best My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1022 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,440 Amount Saved: $4,599.00 Life Gained: Days: 78 Hrs: 1 Mins: 4 Seconds: 30
