Patch causing pain

17 years ago 0 62 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
LOL I posted the same thing yesterday..the chest didn't work for me, the arm closest to the patch still hurt, so today I am trying the butt as Phil and Mercy suggested. I've had it on for about an hour and no pain, when I had it on my arm the pain would have started by now. ;pHAIL THE NOZZLE THINGY!! ;p Good Luck! The butt people... the butt... the patch works real well on the butt. I used it that way many times. ;) Phil.. you were one step ahead of me ..putting it on the butt. Misha- I had the same problem. Are you putting the patch on your arm? If so try putting it on your upper chest. I shaved a small section on either side of my upper chest to put the patches there. (alternating spots every other day) I still get a big red rash like mark where the patch was every day too. Thats why I switch spots eash day. If the problem continues talk to a pharmacist or switch to the gum. I feel your pain!

Every morning when I put the patch on, my arm hurts quite a bit. This continues for a few hours, it's like a muscle pain. I have been rotating arms every morning and it doesn't matter which arm it is on, the pain is there. Has anyone else had this happen? misha My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 110 Amount Saved: $47 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 11 Mins: 13 Seconds: 59
Sometimes I think this could be an excuse to start again, and then stop, this time using Chantix, just rationalizing during the hellish withdrawls.
That is the Nicodemon talking Misha!! Don't listen to him! (I quit before Chantix was out too and I had the same thoughts!!) I used the patch too and was careful not to use the same place for about a week. I never used my stomach area or the area under the breastbone, that skin was too sensitive. I used to use my shoulders and back quite often, I'd try to see how far down my back I could reach. My doctor said that was the funniest place he'd ever seen a patch, but it worked for me!

Thanks, I will Josie, I have an appt. with my doctor on Saturday. I just wish I knew about Chantix before I quit, it sounds like it would have been perfect for me. Is it too late to take it after you've quit already? Sometimes I think this could be an excuse to start again, and then stop, this time using Chantix, just rationalizing during the hellish withdrawls. Take the time to check with your doctor and pharmacist for information on side effects. This can be normal and may pass. It is recommended that the patch be placed on the upper body, so check with the pharmacist before changing spots :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
