I was given Ativan at .5 mg. It is a temporary starting place, but it does seem to be doing the job at the moment. I do not want to wear it out so I try save it for emergencies but it is nice to know there is something I can do when I start to lose it. It the past the attacks would just follow one after another all night long. Now I can get off the train, at least for now.
As I said before that is nice beyond words.
After my bad experiences trying to get help before, I do not think I would have the courage to try again if it were not for this group and I do not know where that would of led. Being totally without hope is really a very awful place to be.
I very much appreciate having hope, again thank you to everyone for helping me to find it.
Hey CQ, I'm glad that you're feeling a little better! :) If you don't mind me asking, what are you taking for medication, and what dosage? I'm just curious. Again, glad to hear you feel better!
Thank you for the advice I have recieved here. My wife took your advice and got me a prescription from my doctor. I am only taking it episodically, but being able to turn off an attack early is nice beyond words. I am sure I am very lucky, I am also aware that things could change and I have an appointment with a psychiatrist to discuss more options.
I am not done, but now I have hope. Something I was afraid to have before. Again thank you for all the good advice.
