Sorry guys, that was 5 years ago, this time the fat man is climbing on my back, and I have let him, so far.... I am focusing more on my quit than on the diet right now, but from the looks of my scale this am, I better get my lil butt on the treadmill NOW! Way to go Lainey!!!!! Hey Jnine- After 69 days of not smoking lazy is not a word I would use to describe you- people like you are an inspiration to me! I wouldn't worry about your waist- at least you won't need the added weight of an oxygen tank in years to come!! Keep the quit!!! Hi Lainey, I haven't gained that much so far going on 3 months but things have moved around I think. It is age I think. They say after 50 it is hard to lose but I am getting pretty frustrated at my waist. I know excerice but something has happened and I can't get the urge I need to go downstairs and get on the bike or the elipitical. I think I just got lazy. I don't know. I started a diet program at the same time I quit smoking five years ago, and I lost 15lbs. It was a deliberate attempt to mske sure I didn't gain and it did work. Of course, this is now, and I haven't done anything in the diet department this time. We still have too much snow to get walking outdoors so have to stick to the treadmill. I have gained 3 lbs so far ( in 18 days) and I will be working to level off that in the next few weeks. I am a gardener and I usually lose weight once I get out there but that isn't until late May. ANyway, thats my 2 cents!
