I was told I could either quit or die, essentially. Hubby and I both quit May 23, 2006, with patches. His quit was uneventful and successful and I thank him for quitting for and with me. I slipped and struggled after a 70 day quit and fell into a full relapse. Quit again and just struggled, went from patches to Chantix. I knew I HAD to quit. I felt so guilty for smoking when he had quit for me, so I was determined to truly quit. It's hard to quit with a smoking spouse, and it's hard to smoke with a quitting spouse. Keep the quit---he just might follow your lead!
