Sanju - are you there?

OK..now this is just crazy! Yes, I certainly do get pain where you are indicating...kind of under the upper right side of my rib cage, to the right of the sternum kinda under my right breast (but lower). Gosh...NO ONE has ever had this. It can be quite painful. I have had so many tests, none of which has shown anything! Go figure! Now, what I am looking into is allergies. I think it could be related to diet so I am trying to do some detective work. I don't think it is anything FATAL, so I am not worried about it, but I do know it isn't all in my head. It is actually, right around the gallbladder area but even that test can out good too. Shessh...what's up with us? D.

Danielle - my tests all came back negative too! I take Nexium, after trying Prilosec. The Prolsec did not work. Even thought the pain is better than it used to be, I feel like I get pain almost everyday. I think the pills also give me the runs. Did you get the little sticking pains in the sternum area too? I get chest pains that move around. The one that bothers me most is high up - right at the top of my breasts, to the RIGHT of my esophagus. If I sneeze sometimes I feel it. Do you ever get pain there? Or in various places in the chest. I sometimes get it on the right side under my ribs, and frequently all over the left side. Did the acid ever make your heart race?

I know this wasn't for me Lawchick but I too have the same problem. I take a drug called NEXIUM and it is my new best friend! Honest to god, all the horrible stomach problems I had are no longer bother me AT ALL. I take it once or twice a day as I need to. If I take it in the a.m. by the next morning, I am starting to feel it all coming on. It lasts a complete 24 hrs most days. I swear, if I had only enough money for one drug, this would be the one I would keep. P.S. I have also had many tests to see what the cause of it could be and nothing was found so far. I have had a barium swallow, an ultrasound and the camera down the throat thingy (sorry don't know the name) and nothing was discovered. But...the doc said if these pills work...take 'em. And..they most certainly do. Just my two cents... Danielle

If you read this, I was wondering how you're doing. I saw your post to outlaw, saying that your acidity was acting up and you were going to the doctor to get checked again. I have many of the same problems it sounds like you have. Sticking pains in the sternum area, nausea sometimes, hot flashes, gas bloating. I had real bad acid when this started for me. Just wondering how you are, and if you've found anything that helps. I take a PPI now for 5 months, but I still get alot of problems. I supplement with OTC antacids, and I have to eat all the time to prevent the pain.
