I'm here, the worst is over. Made a cup of coffee. Doing a whole lot better now, this hit me like a truck on a chicken. Deep breathing. Rubbing my ears!!! How funny is that!!! Can't walk, I'd walk right to the convenience store and buy killers. Gonna sit right here, drink coffee and read, just like on day 1. Thanks guys, you're lifesavers!!!! Hey - No Smoking.... Good - keep on deep breathing - in through your nose, blow out your mouth. Stress R E L I E F !!!! It works. Rub your ears too (I know kinda weird but also works). Drink lots and lots of water and get out your list of reasons why you quit. Keep self talking and distracting with good things - got any mints? Butterfly Swimmer is right - take your breaks, take a brisk walk and you will feel better stretch it out. Staying in one spot is bad, just don't walk to an old familiar smoking place. Hang in there, craves are temporary and will go away all together, it just takes time. Stay strong... What will a cigarette do for you right now? What GOOD could it do? Think about that, and then you'll see what it is you REALLY need... and it's not a smoke, it's something that you THINK the smoke will do for you. Is it that "break" from work for a while that you're needing? Then take one! Is it the deep breath that you would take when you smoked? Then sit and relax by taking some deep breaths. Smoking will do NOTHING for you! But a nice relaxing break from your high stress work just might be what you're REALLY looking for. Crave the Quit! Hey Legend, Don't do it. It's not worth it. Try some deep breathing exercises. Take in a deep breath, while counting to five, and breathe out, while counting to seven. Try this a few times and see if it helps. Do you have any gum or candy nearby? I was having a really tough time a few days ago and I munched ona package of sunflower seeds all evening. Neeed to get some more of those!
