Hi freemom & Mike, Thanks for the posts, when I write this you too will be fast asleep :) I did make it to day 2. For the first time since I have been here. So to me it is a major accomplishment. There are several factors in me making it to day 2. A major part is the mountain of posts, the fact that I am on earlies and still not awake as such. And also having been given a lift to work (no passing of tobacco shops). For any newbies reading this, especially ones that don't think they can make it to day 2. From a constant day 1'er. It CAN be done! 7am - 9am is the real killer for me as normally I would have smoked at least 8 cigarettes by then. So I am using this time to post. ..and for some strange reason thinking 'tomatoes choose not to smoke' seems to be doing the trick as well. I know I have a long hard slog ahead of me. So am keeping focused on anything I can. Thank you all for helping me through this!! p.s. Sunflower update : Everyones heads are poking through now. There are no fatalities. Just hoping for no snow :) Kind Regards Kev p.s. very busy day ahead of me, but I hope to pop in sometime later. p.p.s. Mike, glad your mindset it still with you. Keep at it. You're doing great. Hi Kev, It's 10:30 PM my time, 5:30 AM your time. Good morning. I'm hoping you made it through Day 1 and wishing you all the best for day 2. My thoughts/cravings were the worst yet today. I'm going to hang tough come what may. No one's going to force me to smoke, including me!!! Way to go Kevin. You've almost completed day 1. Hang on there and if the going gets too rough, watch TV or a movie and go to bed early! We're cheering you on, can you hear us? Here's a song you can sing to yourself if you need to: Youre No Good Linda Ronstadt "Feeling better, now that were through Feeling better cause Im over you I learned my lesson, it left a scar Now I see how you really are. Youre no good, youre no good, youre no good, baby youre no good. Im gonna say it again Youre no good, youre no good, youre no good, baby youre no good." - Freemom My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/29/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 18 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 222 Amount Saved: $73.44 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 17 Mins: 8 Seconds: 34

Kevin, I am proud of you! :) Sublingual means you put it underneath your tongue and let it melt there. Stay close, keep posting, keep reading, replace your fear with knowledge and know you can and will do this. You are not alone. Hi Marty, Phil, CallMeMomMom & Mike. Just thought I would pop in and say I am about 3/4's through day 1. The microtabs are very weird. I wonder if anyone here has tried quitting with them? I'm directed to take a couple an hour. But in reality have only taken a couple and switched to the mint lozenges. If you ever see someone foaming at the mouth, their either on microtabs or in fact have rabies :) They're sublingual, whatever that means. All in all I am doing very well. The chances of me reaching day 2 are the highest they have ever been. I'm keeping close to boards now I am home of course.
