Thanks Danielle, I am proud too and glad to be here. Thanks for allowing me to post. My reward for getting here is a crushed up easter egg that has been nicely hardening in the fridge. Crunch ... nice :) :p Kind Regards Kevin My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: 0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

16:56 (UKT) now. 4 minutes away from 5 hrs in my new life. GODZILLA hasn't really popped his head up at all (1). Its amazing to see what good friends and a bit of optimism can do! Nearly home time for me. I shall avoid the shops tonight and flip on some chill out music whilst munching on some pea fritter and chips. I may even sign back in to see how everyone is doing. IM hasn't been working for me today but it may on my home computer. I CAN make it to day 2. Kind Regards (2) Kevin (1) In case you've popped into this thread and possibly thought I have lost my mind :) GODZILLA is just simply a vizualisation of my nicotine addiction. Hi Mike, glad to see your up and still not smoking. Ok my favourite music from Godzilla is : Aooowww! Yeah you know Theyre gonna bring it down now Theyre gonna wreck it down Yeah Somethings come to rock me and I cant keep my head I get nervous in the new york city streets Where my legacy treads I know Im better off standing in the shadows Far from humans with guns But now its too late Theres no escape From what they have done Come on Im going deeper underground Theres too much panic in this town Im going deeper underground Well Ive got to go deeper Got to go much deeper Yeah Hey theyre gonna wreck it down Yeah Step down and down and down Hey yeah Were gonna bring it down yeah Some people with a pocket full of money And an eye full of hate Take a pleasure in destruction Of the very thing that they tried to create Somebody tell me why does all mankind Only tamper and touch Have a habit where they bite off more than they can chew And now its too much Im going deeper underground Theres too much panic in this town Im going Im going Im going Deeper underground ... Jamiroquai's most rockiest song I think. Congratulations, Kevin. You're on the journey to a new and improved life! Lyrics to Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult :p With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound He pulls the spitting high tension wires down Helpless people on a subway train Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them He picks up a bus and he throws it back down As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town Oh no, they say he's got to go Go go Godzilla, yeah Oh no, there goes Tokyo Go go Godzilla, yeah Rinji news o moshiagemasu! Rinji news o moshiagemasu! Godzilla ga ginza hoomen e mukatte imasu! Daishkyu hinan ****e kudasai! Daishkyu hinan ****e kudasai! Oh no, they say he's got to go Go go Godzilla, yeah Oh no, there goes Tokyo Go go Godzilla, yeah History shows again and again How nature points up the folly of men Godzilla! :) :) :) Yes, preferably covering the whole door. p.s. my family think that I am more nuts than usual. Thats a great sign indeed. Now where do I get a blow-up godzilla and hammer. I feel this could be very theraputic :) 14:43 - The dull but feint thud of GODZILLA crashing his tail against buildings in the next city can be heard. However kev is not running. Ladycigvictor/Pat has given him a nice big sign to stick on the buildings. ~~ JDK smokefree zone, if you see godzilla give him a good kick p.s. Do not leave your car on double yellow lines next time ~~ :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: 0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

***looks over fence to see if smoke is billowing from any of JDK's windows while Kev's GODZILLA pounds the ground, whimpers :8o: and shakes :8o: quietly in a corner of the garden thinking :8o: of all the ammo Kev has stockpiled*** Way to go my friend...good on ya mate. Try rebooting your computer to get your SSC back if your launch button has disappeared. Dire Straights rule! Saw Mark's last concert here...he can still make that guitar sing. Ok, you're doing it for sure this time...just look at the things you've done to prepare...you are so going to come out on top of Godzilla. He's already much smaller than he was yesterday, can't you feel him shrinking? :eg: Dealing with triggers is tricky. I kept a quit journal. When I had a thought of smoking I wrote down what I was doing, the time, all the details and patterns soon appeared. Then it's a matter of changing that particular routine or substituting smoking with one of my crave busters. Before you know it you have one less trigger. Ok, kick as$ and have some fun. Yes, have some fun...you are taking your life back and you should enjoy that! :) Pat My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 74 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,975 Amount Saved: $1036 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 16 Mins: 20 Seconds: 12

Hey Gen and Kevin, That real quiet, withdrawn mood is so normal and it will pass. I don't know that I was mourning during the second and third week. I think mine was more that I was protecting my quit by avoiding any and all triggers. I didn't want to hang on the phone long at all, I didn't want to do a lot of tasks because I was use to rewarding myself with a smoke, and I was just down right exhausted from fighting cravings. I also felt that huge lifestyle change and I withdrew to give myself time to adjust. I didn't like feeling so out of it, quiet, and withdrawn. But I loved the fact that I no longer smoked so I was willing to give it time for those feelings to pass. I still have a ways to go before I know how to live as a non smoker but I've been out of that shell for a good while now. There are times when that shell is a good place too. It gives you time to recharge and unwind. You both are doing excellent. I'm so happy for you both.
