Hmmmm. No numbness around the mouth but numbness in both hands, particularly the right hand. The doctor prescribed some physical therapy and a TENS unit for the pain but won't do more without x-rays and that I simply cannot afford. He thought I might be getting some arthritis in my neck, which means either surgery which would be totally out of the realm of possibility or eventual paralysis to some degree. It would be wonderful if it was just caused by some smoking related condition that would just go away. The PT has helped so maybe it's just a pinched nerve caused by tension, anxiety and stress.
The quit is the most stressful thing I ever did. It has lasted the longest and been the worst stress I have ever been under. Hey, all you younger people out there. Keep your quit now. You do not want to be 60 years old with health problems to begin with, and quit then.
Interestingly enough, my husband has sailed through the quit with few bad days. Although, I privately think he cheated every so often.
