weight gain...HELP

Hi Leelee...Come join us in our weight loss section. You are well on your way in your quit so this is a great time to focus on your weight-loss goals. I hit my weight gain blues around the 90 day mark....I had quit smoking and now I was overweight...It seemed like there was nothing fun left to do in life. There seem to be lots of people having success with many different methods of weight loss. Since I like to eat alot, I had to change what I ate (more fruits and veggies - less fats) and I started exercising regularly. This worked for me so far. Others do very well watching portion size, while others follow specialized diets (i.e. low carbs). For me exercise is the key because it helps to relieve stress and burn calories. It helped when I found certain groups and activities at the gym that were fun....and I joined every competition going to motivate me. I think sometimes people do experience some health problems after quitting because their body is healing. However, I think your doctor would be a better source of information than me. Congrats on over 165 days quit...Hope to see you in our weight-loss group. leelee, Do a search through the site for weight gain and maintenance. You will find a lot or supportive and knowledgeable reading. If this persists, check with your doctor to come up with a plan that is right for you and your body :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
