Hello everyone!
I hope this finds you all doing well!
I was going through some things of mine and I ran across some helpful hints on how to cope with cravings! I hope that this helps you as much as it helps me. I actually printed it out and put it up on my cubical at work as well as by the door in my house where I use to go outside and smoke. I hope you find as much strength and coping mechanisms from it that I have.

5: On the telephone....

6: At parties....
Avoiding alcohol, and munch on healthy snacks.
7: Watching TV....

Reducing the Urge to Smoke:
Urges to smoke only last for a few seconds to a few minutes. Believe it or not, the urge to smoke will pass whether you smoke or not. When an urge strikes, try the following:
The "Three-Second Breathing" Exercise. Nothing relaxes you more quickly than taking a deep breath. Inhale deeply through pursed lips. Hold your breath for 3 seconds. Then slowly exhale through your mouth.
I hope this helps with newbie's and veterans. Keep the faith - Keep on keeping on!
