Joseph,
Be kind to yourself! It's ok to nap if you tired, cry if your sad or other.
Also be sure to consult your doctor or pharmacist about the side effect you may be experiencing due to your medication.

Joseph,
Glad you're starting to feel better and finding many aids to help you cope with the nausea.
Just a quick reminder that the mention of products is against our User Agreement and I have edited this thread to reflect that.
We encourage you to use the SSC IM for this type of discussion.

Yes, I am using the tea mix....I only use a 1/2 packet for a 1 pt 9oz bottle of water. Otherwise it is too sweet for me.
Izzy, I am only on my 3rd day of Chantix and I can feel a difference in mood already. I am like a happy lil' thing all the time now!
Joseph, please don't forget the water with the pill too. They say it is very important. I was thinking that maybe the water helps break the pill down somehow.
I am not a water drinker so I started to add raspberry/green tea mix to the bottle. Much better and has antioxidents in it...so they say!
Good luck today...

One of the things that I have learned from the great folks at SSC is to read, read, and read. There are some very inspirational posts here.
Also, don't forget the nasty nicotine is not the only thing you are addicted to. There is the time of day you use to smoke, the "something in your mouth", the "something to do with your hands". So listen up buster! Get your butt off the couch-don't be a grouch- go rub a baby or kiss a puppy! And remember to say the same thing to me next week!!! PLEASE!!!!

Hi Joe, no one can tell you precisely how long these feelings will last. But we can all tell you that it will get better. The only way to de-tox is to get through the withdrawals. Even with Chantix, Welbutrin, patches, gum and all, the most important aspect to quitting is your mind set. Keep focusing on putting one foot in front of the other. Keep your eyes on the prize, and you will make it through.
Rusty :)
