I chuckled visualizing you suck that butt down the sweeper! The ole sweeper trick! Works every time we don't want to touch something! Great thinking and great job! Proud of you. Its really remarkable for me too. I stopped initially with the help of Chantix. After I stopped smoking, few days into the quit, i discontinued the medication too. I do get a thought of smoke here and there but, i just pause and think of the damage it would cause, picking the smoke again. That kills the thought. Also i remember the 'smokers body' at WHO. I then go Whoooooooooo. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Anna, I thought of that cigarette just like I would think of a big nasty bug. Something with a stinger on it. Then it was easy to just suck up and put the chigerette in its place. Went to dinner with friends last night and had two glasses of wine. It left me with a craving so unbelievable that a cigarette was all I could think about. Actually, all I could think about was that one cigarette on the table. Butt, I didn't smoke it. It's gone now, sucked up in the vacuum cleaner. I successfully resisted. 20 days smoke free. I feel like I fought and won a major battle. I really got through one of the most intense cravings ever, a little bit tipsy, and didn't lose my quit. Even in the throes of the crazy-making crave, even a bit drunk, I didn't forget my quit and protected it to victory! When I woke up, my first thought was joy that I didn't smoke. I would have been so disappointed in my efforts had I given in. It can be done!
