Went to dinner with friends last night and had two glasses of wine. It left me with a craving so unbelievable that a cigarette was all I could think about. Actually, all I could think about was that one cigarette on the table. Butt, I didn't smoke it. It's gone now, sucked up in the vacuum cleaner. I successfully resisted. 20 days smoke free. I feel like I fought and won a major battle. I really got through one of the most intense cravings ever, a little bit tipsy, and didn't lose my quit. Even in the throes of the crazy-making crave, even a bit drunk, I didn't forget my quit and protected it to victory!
When I woke up, my first thought was joy that I didn't smoke. I would have been so disappointed in my efforts had I given in.
It can be done!
