slivers, if you really want to get to the top of the hill, you will get rid of that pack of cigarettes right now. That pack has no function on this earth other than to be opened and be smoked. Why don't you have a ceremony to get rid of them? Or flush them? Or drive over them in your car. What you are feeling is withdrawal from the drug. You have to go through this detox to get to the top of the hill. There is just no other way. Take control of your life. You hold the power, slivers. You are strong. I know this because you have made it through five days. That is something to celebrate. Have you rewarded yourself? Focus on how healthy you are becoming, how you are turning back the clock on the damage that's been done, and how you are strong and whole and healthy. Surely that deserves a reward! my words of encouragement include these.....GET RID OF THOSE SMOKES!!! Smokes are for ONE thing and one thing ONLY....to smoke! Destroy them NOW! this first week is hell for sure....but the only way to win is to stay in control and NOT light up!!! to give in will merely mean that you start back at step one again. Now that is just crazy when you already have FIVE days clear and free! so crush those smokes and run water on them. Or take a drive and pitch them out the window....but GET RID OF THEM!
