WHERE IS THE TOP OF THE HILL??

Hang in there, I went through the Headaches and found that Mortin helped me. I notice my jaw was tight and causing the headache. It does stop. I beleive on my 7th day it was gone. the craving for one. I got through my worst craving by making sure I was totally busy mind and body and had no time to think about wanting one. Now when I hit that wall and I mean it is a wall. I get busy with mind and body. Example I had minutes for my club to be typed up. When the craving hit I sat down and worked on the minutes. This kept the fingers busy and the mind focus on the minutes I had to type. The craving past and my minutes are done.

HI ALL, I HAVE 5 DAYS SMOKE FREE DAYS AND I THINK TODAY IS THE HARDEST FOR ME. I HAVE SUCH BAD CRAVING, FEEL HOT AND HAVE A HEADACHE. I THINK I HAVE EATEN ALL THE SWEETS IN THE HOUSE JUST TO SATISFY MY CRAVE. BEEN THINKING ABOUT A CIGARETTE BUT SO FAR HAVE MANAGED TO PUT IT OFF. I DID BUY A PACK WHEN I WENT TO THE STORE BUT STILL HAVE NOT OPENED THEM. I KNOW IT WAS A DUMB THING TO DO BUT I JUST COULD'T STOP MY SELF. I WANT TO GET TO THE TOP OF THE HILL SO MUCH I CAN'T STAND IT!!! PLEASE A FEW WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT WILL HELP ME AT THIS TERRIBLE DAY I AM HAVING. Slivers, I agree with everyone here.. Please throw out the cig's. I'm a re quitter and it's not worth it! Do you have distractions other than eating when you get a crave? Hobbies? Make a list of things to do when they come and they will pass hon. Please keep posting and let us know how you are doing now. We're here for you :) Monica58 My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 73 Amount Saved: $27 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 54 Seconds: 20

slivers - it's 7 p.m. Where are you? Did you throw out those smokes? You are going through withdrawal...you don't want to keep putting yourself through this again and again......Please dump the smokes....take a nap, go for a walk, drink a gallon of water, do that jello thing (I'm not sure what it is)...just don't smoke! Slivers, Celebrate those 5 wonderful smokefree days. I am 2 days behind you and I certainly don't want to repeat these days again. And that's what will happen to you if you open that pack of cigs. Throw them out. Its just not worth it. Plus its no fun starting back at day one again. I've done that quite a few times. Go forward Slivers, you'll be so proud of yourself. Slivers - If you smoke now, you will be feeling like this next time you try to quit. Stopping smoking means to practise not smoking each time a crave comes along, the brain becomes more familiar with this after a while. My two pence worth! Don't smoke, hon! You've done 5 days already! Keep it up!
