Ideas for new quiters....

17 years ago 0 47 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Yes, please keep them coming. I have no idea what to do for rewards, even daily rewards. And we have no money. I need lots of rewards to keep me going. Thanks! I just thought we could help our new quitters with some suggestions they may use on their first few rewards... I wanted all the new quitters to know about Butterfly Swimmers one reward. N.O.P.E. Bracelet! I thought this is a great idea butterfly came up with, it is always there for you to look at, and remind you what you have gone through so you don't turn back! For my first reward I went with a new watch, nothing expensive, just a new timex. THis made it easier to figure out how many hour and day it has been since I quit! Lets give the New Year quitters some ideas, if they haven't yet they need to reward them selves!!! Penguin, Hello there. Yeah i am still here. I check in and read still, but just haven't had much to say. Went through a rough Christmas, girlfriend and I split up two days before. But I made it without a puff! I am so glad you are starting again! I know you can make it!!! I rewarded myself with a new journal and writting materials. A great pen. Yes, all very little and most timely to get me doing something different to get through to the other side. This is my favorite subject. Quitting is one of the hardest things we will ever do and I fully believe that we need rewards for doing this. I have rewarded myself generously because I feel I am worth it and so are YOU. I have had little rewards like lunch out with the girls or a cappucino at Tim Hortons, then I have had bigger, massage, manicure, pedicure, new clothes, new job, new vehicle, trip to vegas, music box (I collect them), membership at a gym, and for my next one I am going on a cruise with hubby and friends. Reward yourself everey chance you get because YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!! Hey Jason, You're still here. How wonderful!!! I think you're idea of a watch is great. I bought a reward yesterday. Two new shirts. May not seem like a big thing, but for me it is, because I very rarely buy myself new clothes. Keep the quit going. You are doing great! I bought new walking shoes and other walking paraphernalia (socks, pedometer, walkman, etc) to get me going on my new lifestyle. Rewards can be as simple as a walk in a pleasant place, a nap, a cup of wonderful tea, or a favorite television show that normally makes you feel guilty. I found it helpful to plan for milestone rewards: each day, each week, etc. Rusty :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 760 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 21,298 Amount Saved: $2660 Life Gained: Days: 105 Hrs: 19 Mins: 52 Seconds: 46
