jnine,
I'm currently using the Chantix to quit, and I have to say, I think its amazing. I smoked a little over a pack a day for 10 years, and physically, my cravings haven't been that severe.
Mentally is a different story. I think what's gotten me this far is a lot of support from my friends and family and a positive attitude on my part.
Whenever I want one, I just picture myself doing activities in the future that I know I wouldn't have been able to do had I continued smoking. Running in a 5k with my wife, playing basketball with my kids, etc.
Make sure you follow the directions for Chantix. Take it a full week before you quit (the cigs will start tasting funny at best), and always eat a little something before you take it. Don't watch scary movies before you go to bed, either :)
