To all you X-smokers and wannabes:
I have been recently reading and re-reading so many posts. I am so thrilled and astonished at all the people who are giving up those rotten cancer killing sticks. I can not believe what I am reading. People yelling out for help, people cracking jokes, people admitting that they are finally ready to fight there addiction, people who are sad and lonely, people who are depressed and even people who have failed. Its ok people, its really ok! Because we all know that it takes time, courage and extreme will power to fight your quit. Please stop what you are all doing right now. Stop and look at what you all have accomplished up to now, even if your quit is 1 day old. Now clear your mind of your quit for 1 minute, close your eyes and re-enforce your quit. If you are thinking that the urge is starting to get to you and you desperately want a drag, stop and think where and what you were feeling prior to your quit. Think of your coughing and gagging and all the times you felt like you were a failure. Think of the way you smelled and the way people looked at you when you were sucking on that lung killing stick. Think about the way you felt when you tried to walk up a flight of stairs and the way you gasped for a full breath of air. Think about the urge and what it did to you for so many years. Think about the brown crap you used to cough up and swallow. Think about that brown nicostain between your fingers. Think about all the people you know who expired from smoking and all the problems they went through. Think about how there families must feel. Think about where you might be right now had you not stopped smoking. Think about the people who mean the most to you and how proud they are of you. Think about how your spouse hugs you and smells the beautiful sent of your hair. Think about how you can finally suck in a nice breath of air! Reinforce your quit now.

I mean, we tend to feel so good that we often think it might be ok to try a cig to see what it feels like. If you feel that way and I know I do at times, just think of what got you to this point in your quit and all th
