ONE DOWN

That's it one week out of the way, its been really hard some of the time and the rest of the time its been almost impossible. But i have come out the other side relatively unscathed . A few more people now give me a wide birth as i am now MR Angry, i am hoping that this will pass before i turn into Mr Lonely. I even managed a night out with the lads last night and stayed smoke free. The smokers in my circle of friends promised to remain off the cigarettes for the night or donate twenty pounds to charity for each one smoked. A few of them a fairly out of pocket this morning Fairly. But two of them are now going to join me in my quest for better health. So on a hole a pretty good week all round. stopped smoking . didn't kill anyone (yet), raised nearly four hundred pounds for cancer research and shown my friends that if i can so can they. Hope it continues. Well done Alexander! :) I know what you mean about 'Mr Angry' I have been 'Ms B*tch' quite a few times in the last few days. Not nearly as bad now as I was. It must have been hard going out with friends and abstaining. I haven't been out socially since before I stopped. I hope I manage as well as you have. Mr Ed - I like what you said about 'relearning how to live', that's exactly what it's like! :)

Good for you Alexander ! Congratulations on getting through week 1 ! Very good of your friends to be so supportive of you and yes, maybe some of them will join the quit :) I too had feelings just like yours in the 1st week -- hell week is behind you now - Keep your crave cart close by, as well as all of your coping tools. And since you've gotten through the 1st week unscathed do you have a reward in mind for yourself? You certainly deserve something. :) Here's a little something for you, from me... Hey Alexander - You have some great friends so despite the downward spiral in your personality, I take it you must be pretty likeable most of the time. Good job on tackling the night out on the town - looks like you might have afew converts (I think the donation part is pretty funny - boy smoking CAN get to be an expensive habit!) Congrats on surviving hell week...keep up the good work. windy My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 69 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,398 Amount Saved: $345 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 15 Mins: 9 Seconds: 52

Well done on that first week! You'll adjust to the anger in time - and good friends will stick by you whatever. It all about relearning how to live - I'm still relearning, but enjoying it too!
