You describe EXACTLY how I feel!!!! I love a nice, clean, orderly house. I love to cook. I love yard work. I don't do any of those things much since I have quit. I am hoping that once I am secure in this, I will once again enjoy those things. In the meantime we live in a pig sty with microwave dinners! The kids can call in all the complaints they want to the authorities, they can't find us as the weeds and brush cover the house! LOL It does get better! (I hope) ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,642 Amount Saved: $576 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 11 Mins: 50 Seconds: 49

I have had cravings so bad that I would just sit down and do nothing except concentrate on not having a cigarette until it passed. Sometimes you do whatever you gotta do. MOVE Claire....don't sit and let the junky take over your thinking....that will end with him taking over your actions too! Distraction....practice Distraction! You can have the cleanest house ever....the least laundry of any person on the block....the most wonderful 3 course meals!! When you need a break, take it taking a walk....or a soak in the tub....or doing stretching exercises....or lying flat out with your eyes closed and slowly flexing and then relaxing every muscle in your body......get hard candies to suck on as a treat while you continue to work!! don't give the demon an inch....cause he can't be bargained with....he will take it all! hang tough and kick butt Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1780 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 71,237 Amount Saved: $10146 Life Gained: Days: 232 Hrs: 7 Mins: 6 Seconds: 45

Ok members, Claire needs our help to come up with some coping tools that will help her avoid those idle times! Try doing things that you like :) Grab a hobbie and work at it, use exercise and even watch a movie. Your rewards and coping tools can be fun. Come on members help her out! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
