Day 8 going crazy

17 years ago 0 5 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
i think if I stop smoking I will not be able to live...I think I will have a heart attack or something from the stress.... I feel like crying from sadness. How the heck did i get in this mess. How week am I. What will happen to me. What if its to late and the damage is done. Can you please tell me something to get me in the frame of mind to do this? Thanks!

I have not started yet but you have given me hope. I am a long time smoker like you. I cannot believe I am letting a little white stick kill me, It is so unreal to believe this could have happened i could cry,...and im not the crying type. Its like my mind was taken over by this little killer. Its worst then being in a bad relasonship....see I havenot smoked in an hour and I cannot spell. What will become of me.... Thanks!

I'm on day 8 also littlebit and I was feeling like you yesterday. I sipped on hot tea and spent a few hours here and then a nice hot shower and got through it. Please Please hang in there and stay strong.

Come on littlebit, we can make it. 8:38 pm (EST) and almost bed time. Just think, tomorrow morning you can wake up and know that you're well into your second week! BTW, have you seen the new forum for us 1/1/07 quitters? Praying for you,me, and all of us newbies My name is Janet and I'm a nicoholic My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 313 Amount Saved: $63 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 21 Mins: 13 Seconds: 10

Day 8 for me, too, and the last 2 hours have been Hell. Don't know why, but they have been. I'm at work, so I won't go outside (that's where the smokers are). I'll sleep here tonight if I have to rather than risk caving in. Am not going to cave! Neither are you. Come on, girl, we 8th dayers can do this together! Read another good post on Why Can't I have Just One on these boards. That awful thought was starting to crawl through my mind like a movie marque. Those posts really helped. My name is Janet and I'm a nic-o-holic. Almost 5 o'clock and I thought this day would never end.Wouldn't be so bad but it's way too windy to even go out for a walk in the mud and snow. May tomorrow be better for all of us working our butts off to kick this bad thing!!!!! I'm having trouble today too.....bit of stress at work has triggered a massive craving that has me hanging on to my seat. Not good. Smoking is not an option.....I'm trying to hang in.
