Hi Cocopuff, I'm glad to see you are still hanging in there. First day of work as a non-smoker, glad that is over. I didn't even punch anyone. Good thing it was rather slow today. Don't feel bad about using the patch. That way you are only getting nicotine, not all the poisonous gases that we inhale when smoking a cig. Stardust :)

For cocopuff... Hi everyone, In all the great replies that I received when I first posted there was one from Cocopuff saying they were joining me in my quit and was asking for some words of encouragement. I don't know how to reply directly to Cocopuff so I thought I would start this post so everyone can help Cocopuff. Cocopuff: Right now we are taking baby steps but with each step we will get a little more confident and before you know it we will be off and running. With the help from everyone here, I know we have a much better chance of success. Stardust :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/4/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 25 Amount Saved: $3 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 33 Seconds: 58

Cocopuff: Hi and welcome! I am also using the patch, and I figure whatever works to keep us off the burning leaves. Some go cold turkey, some go with zyban or the new one chantix, but there is nothing to compare with your own internal determination to quit and stay quit. You have made a great start, congratulations and let's go kick some ash! And thank you Stardust for starting this thread for cocopuff! Hi Cocopuff! Glad you're aboard. I'm using the patch as well, and I couldn't be without it. Not for a while anyhow. Hang in there, this does get easier day by day. Coco puff I have been on the patches for around 11 weeks now. dont try messing with them they take a while to take effect Not an instant crave cure.I found they stick best to my bottom because you spend at least some of the time sitting on it kept falling off my arms and chest.!!! On when you get up Off when you go to bed.Dont take anything else at the same time you will overdose! I have gone from 15mg to 10mg and am on the last week of 5mg. Stick with the plan ...... Hope I have helped Phil My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 91 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,823 Amount Saved: 477.75 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 19 Mins: 26 Seconds: 56
