Stardust, yeah, I hear a high pitch whine.........wait......oh... it's just the wife~ lol ;p. But seriously, I do also have a bit of ringing in ears. I noticed it yesterday, woke with em still ringing. Does it get better? I am on wellbutrin, and 21mg patch. Anyway, lemme what you find out. Thanks everyone for your advice. I will see my doctor about it. Not feeling quite as edgy today. Thank you for your support as well. ParrotLady - thanks for your offer but I use a MAC and the SSC messenger does not work on a MAC. Wish it did. I can use Yahoo IM but not SSC. Windy you are absolutely right and to start off right I need to do this. I'm also taking a day for myself tomorrow. Going to get my hair done and do a little shopping and the heck with everything else. I did some research on the web about ringing in the ears and there are about 200 drugs that can cause ringing in the ears and - bingo - the anti inflammatory that I take for the arthritis in my hand is given as an example. Figures, I find something to help my hand and then end up with the ringing sound. I guess maybe smoking was masking it like it does to so many other things. I feel better in the mornings already and breathing seems a little easier. It makes it a little easier when you start seeing the results of all the work to quit. I will be glad when I don't even think about the fact that I am not smoking any more. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi everyone, I'm almost finished with day 5 and things have not been too bad. Today seems to have been worse. More edgyness. Has anyone else experienced ringing in the ears after quiting? It is really starting to annoy me. I feel like Humpty Dumpty on the Wall. Not sure which side I am gonna fall on, the smokers side or the non-smokers side. I know what side I want to be on (when I am thinking clear) but then sometimes I start thinking, oh the hell with it, what's the difference if I smoke. I am recently separated from my husband after 24 years of marriage and the emotional roller coaster ride I have been on is getting old. Quiting smoking is something I wanted to do for myself, hopefully change my outlook for the future. I just have to keep remembering that it will get better and I won't always feel like a space cadet. Right????? my head felt really strange this time around - ringing and a kind of hollowness in the ears. I thought it might have had to do with the fact that I quit caffeine just about 1 week before I quit smoking and I also had somewhat of a cold I couldn't shake. It passed for me after maybe 7-10 days. Hi Stardust! Anyday can be a bad day, smoking or not, so just take a deep breath, and make sure you take care of your health like everyone has said here, and if you have the SSC messenger, I'm logged in, we can talk about the rest of it. I am a very good listener (or reader as the case may be) and I am a very good friend. I want you to think of yourself as moving purposefully toward the non smokers and CHOOSING not to smoke. I want you to talk positive to yourself and be supportive and caring with yourself. You are doing great at 5 days, and the stress in your life will not get better if you smoke. I promise it will only get worse if you smoke. And I also promise, you will only be a stressed smoker if you start back. Keep on this path, it's the only way to freedom, and that's what you have chosen. Reward yourself OK? Hi Star - I think that quitting is a great way to start your new life. What better way to take control of your life - to feel and look better! (I imagine it is a difficult time for you...but you are doing so well) Take care and keep posting! Hi Star! No, I didnt either. You may want to see your doc. The last time I had ringing in the ears was when I had a severe ear infection along w/ a sinus infection.
