Hey Rainie! I do believe it will effect, shall I say "Aunt Flow". I quit on 1/25 and wasn't due to have "her visit" until February, and sure enough, on the 27th, she came early. I spoke to my Dr. and he told me that with me stopping smoking my stress level has increased at the moment, as well as getting the toxic chemicals out of my system, so my body is trying to cleanse itself. If you are on an "actual schedule" and it happens next month, then talk to the Dr. about it. Mine doesn't have a "set schedule", but pretty darn close, so it threw me for a loop too. I hope this helps!! Stay Strong! ~PEACE~ Shortcake My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 133 Amount Saved: $27 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 53 Seconds: 57

Okay... As shown on my counter below i'm a few days out from my quit date. I went from smoking a pack and a half a day to just three a day in a drastically short time... a week or so. So... I just want to know.. Did any other women out there have sore breasts when they cut down/quit? My mom did, but with her medical history I don't know if that's normal. Let me know and sorry if I made you blush! Just checked and nope. That's not a symptom I have but it doesn't mean it's not related to you quitting. Boy, that's a new one, can't say as I've experienced it (at least not from quitting smoking). But then I've been in a perpetual menopausal state for the last 15 years, so I attribute everything to that! (Ok, guys, I know the "M" word freaks you out, but it is our reality, you know!) I agree with the others. If it continues, do speak with your doctor. Good luck. Keep us posted, ok? No blushing here, and the answer is "yes but", do please get yourself checked by a doctor because ANY breast pain should be checked. Do not just disregard it as part of quitting. OK? Please. It's important. Yup. Last week mine were killing me and Soooooooooo heavy. I was talking to friends about them like they were a separate entity. Like "have to get the mamaries downstairs. that'll take some lugging" (no offence meant). Or "who needs to lift weights with these round ma neck" etc. Well over the weekend, I drank loads and loads of water as part of my losing weight thing and the boobs are much better, feel smaller and could possibly be why my scales dropped a bit too? I always used to get painful boobs in a month but not for years. Maybe it's part of me getting healthier? Try lots of water, maybe some evening primrose and if not better soon, see the GP. Now that you mention it, Yes, I did have sore breast my first week. Even complained about it to a friend of mine. I just thought it was a hormonal thing, but hey, maybe we found a new withdrawal symptoms. Only lasted a couple of days. I agree with the rest, if it last for more than a few days, seek medical attention. Woodward, Symptoms can vary from individual to individual. Always check with your doctor to rule out anything medical :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team
