I just wanted to say THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who replied!!! Its 3:30, and seems that was the worst part of my day..(go figure)..once i got that rant out..i felt 100% better!!! My husband and I are both quitting together, so he understands, and has a high tolerance for b****yness. I think if you make somthing that is important, funny its a lot easier to get over, and more people can relate! I like to laugh at myself, b/c really...if i didnt..then everyone would be laughing at me..he he he... :p Thanks again for all of your support!!!

OMG!!! I hate my husband!!!! ok, well, I dont hate him, but he is just really really annoying!!!! I know im on edge b/c i want a smoke...but seriously...HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT THINGS BACK WHEN YOU DONE!!!! "oh, i just had a cup of coffee, and im in the bathroom, i think i'll put my empty cup on the back of the toilet, yeah...thats where it goes, so the kids can get it and break it" COME ON!!!! He's 33 yrs old..START ACTING LIKE IT!!! Then this morning at like 7 am..the kids woke up..(i have the hallway gated off so they can only get into the bedrooms) So they come in ours, (like usual) and there he his..my "thoughtful" husband, puts the pillow over his head. (can we be anymore childish??) Im like "are u gonna get up with us hunny..have some breakfast" and nothing..not even a single movement! then i say "Dave...are u gonna get up with us?" At this point I know he can hear me, he's a very light sleeper. So boom, i get b__chy..(just like that) and say "I Know you can hear me...stop ignoring me!" and just like that...i hear "im not ignoring you babe!" DONT BABE ME !!! and then he says " can u just let me sleep in ...just this once???" HE SLEEPS IN EVERY WEEKEND!!! The last time i got to sleep in was probably over 2 months ago!! So, yes, I let him sleep in...me being the "good wife" i am... but i did turn the lights,tv and the fan on and took the covers with me..haha!! :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 133 Amount Saved: $42 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 8 Seconds: 6

Hello Hempfiend You go girl! I know how you feel, my husband is the same way. Sometimes I just want to shoot him. I can be trying to get things together in the morning for the kids to go to school, make some sort of breakfast and get myself out the door for work, he sits there, can I have this, can I have that, are you going to do this or that. He drives me crazy sometimes. Finally I just started ignoring him or telling him that he has two legs and two arms, get it yourself. Not all days are like that, but when it happens you would think he would have the courtesy to at least help me for a change. Congrats on your quit, keep up the good work, and we are all here for you!!!!! P.S. I have a bull-horn you can borrow! :) Karen My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 168 Amount Saved: $40 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 21 Mins: 18 Seconds: 39

Lainey reminds me of myself...to a point... My last quit I became a ROYAL B***H, everyone knew it and avoided me like I was contagious. So naturally, we all expected the same thing to happen this time. Well, it has been almost too easy (Where is that "other" shoe?)and they (okay, really "he") are all waiting for the B***H, waiting for me to say, look, scream, sleep, or do something wrong, but that hasn't really happened. I think I have done pretty darn good (patting myself on the back)! So he gets angry (go figure) because I am not a B***H like he expected! He is all geared up for the fight and has all of it pent up inside, and it has to come out!! And up until then it was a good day! As a never-smoker, he thinks it's no big deal, you just quit! MEN! Ya can't live with 'em, and ya can't shoot 'em. hahahaha, this was fabulous to read. And I'm not intending to make light of your rage (hell no, believe me sister, I hear ya), but egad it made me laugh out loud. :) My husband does all of the above and more and if I happen to be in serene mood and not bothered by it, he can generally whip out with something like this: I'll say "can you believe I put away all the laundry and then went and did [whatever] without smoking?!?" (I found I was a big 'transition' smoker -- I always smoked when "switching gears" or between tasks). And he'll say "look at you go! Just like a regular person!" ::head in hands:: And he means it so supportively. And I *know* what he means. And I *do* appreciate what he is *trying* to say. But, sheesh, that sends me through the roof (at least mentally) every damn time. Been there, done it all! I really don't understand why that is.The last time I quit, my whole week was hell, I was so angry and growly, just snapping at anything. This time, I am mellow. How can that be? My whole week has been pretty easy. (Waiting for the "other" shoe to drop?) Having quit so many times before, I can honestly tell you that the quilt I felt after starting smoking again was worse (in my heart) than being *****y at the hubby & kids. It is withdrawal from a very addictive drug , and we need to remember that. Deep breaths and a little "I WILL GET BETTER WITH EACH AND EVERY MOMENT THAT I DON'T SMOKE" will help! Good luck, your hubby will survive!
