uh oh no one has posted here in a while. I haven't really lost anything lately though that's probably because on the weekend I had family visit and had a few glasses of wine and some nacho's. YOu know gotta have the fun stuff when your little sis comes and its girl talk time. I have been good since Monday however and hopefully soon will have some weight loss to report! Hi everyone, I haven't checked in here for a while but so far I've lost 9 pounds and 1.4 off of the BMI. So far daily exercise is just chasing the puppy around and taking her for walks, but I am hoping to be able to join a gym soon. Still doing the low carb diet. Wishing everyone success in their weightloss programs. Windy, lowering your carbs definitely will cause headaches...good news is that these will go away about after the first week. I've done low carb diets before and thats where I'm at now again. I needed to lose weight before I quit smoking and now I need to lose even more weight. I'm not counting calories so I can't list that but I've lost 3 pounds this week so that makes me happy! Ok I'm up to 4 pounds lost today...its so exciting at the start when its easy to lose makes it easy to stay motivated, but I know that soon enough the weight loss will start to level off and I'll have to start exercising more :8o: My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 147 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,125 Amount Saved: $576.24 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 8 Mins: 42 Seconds: 39

Well I stuck to the low carb diet today again....really wanted to cave in yesterday but stuck with it, figured if i could quit smoking this should be easy really. Worked all day and took the dog for a walk tonight, thats about all i could handle for exercise! Hey Sparky, right now your quit is first and foremost. I tried to diet a few times early in my quit and always gave up because it was either eat or smoke for me. Now I've gone back to the diet and have been a good girl for almost two weeks. I wouldn't worry about dieting yet at your stage! Need to go say hi to the like 200 new people. hi everyone I think you are all doing great, Windy you can borrow both of my kids at anytime...Then maybe I could excirise. For now I am doing my dance party's with 4 year old. My mom came up we went to chinise place for dinner. I knew it was gonna get me so all I ate that day was a salad, bannana and a apple. I bought alot of fruit this week. No cookies, no chips ,no sweets(Well 1 pack of M&M.) For when I need something chocolate.I can have a couple mm. I have been doing well. Scale is still broke, but my biggest pants(that were really tight)are loose today. So this is a good thing. Everytime I wanted something sweet I just ate a piece of fruit. Trying to scale back on meals. Although I pigged out on pizza last night. Well it was veggie pizza do I get extra points for that. Yeah probaly not. I would say what I am doing is not a diet, for me it is. Already I am finding it very hard. I give all of you props for doing this so diligently. Way to go. I will keep popin in just to get more ideas from you guys. Keep up the excelant quits. Ok I stayed up way to late last night. Not good for wanting to exercise. Not sure about how to count calories, but so far I had fruit for breakfast. Then a turky and swiss sub for lunch. And chilie.I am sure that is loaded with junk. I am gonna try to stay away from junkfood. I have major sweet tooth, that is my biggest promblem. Maybe I just eat a salad or something lite for dinner. I have to get everything ready for my carpets to be clean. Don't think I will get to the exercise. I know I need to learn to make time for it. Just like I make time to pray and time for me....Man I am in trouble..... Grace
