It'll get better Jess! Hang in there! Reward yourself for those 5 hard earned days! You're doing it! Crave the Quit! Jess hang tight, it will get better. Don't give in. Drink some water, go for a walk do something. I am a repeater so I know what I'm talking about. It's not easy, but do try to hang on. You feel better for doing it. Jess, Like sparky said, its not easy but so worth it. Just hang onto that quit and take it minute by minute. I have been through the ringer and back and it is so worth the pain and anger and cravings. They actually do go away. Just wait long enough and it will. Hi Jess, maybe it's time to try something different. Getting yourself on the move always helped me, walking, treadmill, biking (weather permitting) or something soothing while you move. Yoga is great for relaxation breathing which would really be a benefit to you now and the energy drain you have been experiencing. Be gentle with yourself and take it a moment at a time. You will come through this with flying colors. Drink lots and lots and lots (did I say lots?) of water. Feel better Jess...... CobenFan

Hi Jess, Quitting is really tough... and it can get tougher... C'fan gave you some great advice... walking helped me alot - it moves the energy through and out. Can you walk around the block or mall walk? Your sleeping may be off for awhile, but it's all temporary... When you can't sleep, read some good books? Do you journal? This is the time to build those coping skills that will take care of you...and distractions are wonderful in the toughest times. Hold on tight... one step at a time. Hi jess. I remember my day 5 was horrible too and I also had problems with sleeping too. Hang in there kiddo - this is just the nicodemon having a good stomp about as it leaves your system. Keep going - you are bigger and stronger and braver than that creep!!! You are already doing this and you're doing really good. We're all behind you.
