Blah week is starting early?

Thank you guys so much. I've made it to 9:02 pm and bed time is just a bit away. The nicodemon was in full force, though. I went on an errand and as I was leaving the parking lot, I dropped my ticket. Digging down under the seat, what do I find but a full pack of cigarettes, unopened! Stared at them and almost started to cry. Couldn't bring myself to litter, so I threw them to the back of the car (I drive a Suburban, so we're talking 8 feet away from me). I was so scared of them, I didn't even want to touch them. Called my son as I was pulling into the driveway, explained what was going on, and made him meet me at the car. He gladly got them out of the car and destroyed them for me! Thanks again, guys. Oh and by the way, Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall cause he was sneaking a smoke and it made him dizzy. Mary's lamb was all yellow cause Mary started lighting up again in the barn. Here's to day 13 -- may it be better than 12! Wow, I've been soaring around with so much engery and bouncy for my whole quit. Today, it's like someone went WHAM and slapped me out of the sky. I feel so blah...Not sad, just blah. The kind of day when I would have curled up on the couch and chain-smoked while I watched movies. I decided to write cause that neon sign of "JUST ONE WILL MAKE IT BETTER" kept running through my mind. Reaching out for help to turn out that light. Someone, please tell me this blah eventually ends (before Tuesday, Phil). Tell me a joke. Tell me a funny, story, please. Tell me anything to make me smile and stop thinking about being blah and "JUST ONE" :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 11 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 467 Amount Saved: $99 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 7 Mins: 30 Seconds: 46

I guess I am at Blah week already at Day 4 because I sure feel that way too. Hang in there. It is obvious by alot of posts that alot of people get in a Blah mood. It is hard to change the habit. Good Luck. It will get better. The days I wanted to smoke the most were #10 and #11. Those days were the first time I wondered how it would taste. The newness and excitement is wearing off, and like 2tone said on his day 10: Is this it? So... put your mind into something else and move on to the next thing. I started eating the past couple days, and I don't want to get into an awful eating habit, so I've been looking for books, information on eating healthier. That's what I've done to get my mind in a different direction and to stay positive. Maybe something like that would help you. Hang in there! You are doing great! Find someone you haven't told yet that you quit, and tell them... that always picks me up! So "blah week" is news to me! I'd only heard of Hell week, Heck week and just the other day "30 Day week" or something to that effect. I just went through "blah week" but thought it was me just being moody! Are there other milestones not yet mentioned or is that it? :quest: My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 835 Amount Saved: $65 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 2 Mins: 9 Seconds: 10

Researchwoman, Yes, this will pass and this phase is only temporary. Blah week is a week to be kind to yourself, take it easy and reward yourself for staying smoke free! Keep close. Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi researchwoman - Good for you, friend!! I remember finding a brand new SEALED pack in my SUV when I decided to clean it out... Lady got me through that one - I just stared at that pack like I'd never seen a pack of cigs... Had Lady not been there with me on IM, well who knows :) LOL You are doing beautifully!! Make sure to reward yourself! - and am sure you are sleeping like a baby right now...
