Hi Sharon! I also have been feeling spaced out most of the two weeks I've been quit, but it seems to be getting better each day. "Bored with not smoking" sounds like a junkie talking in your head? Just seems like it to me. You are so awesome with your 16 days! I am right behind you, look out, we're gonna hit that beach yet! Hi Sharon....It's true...it is normal to feel exhausted at a certain point. Even though you are not going through hell week, you have been fighting a battle for awhile and it's natural to be tired. I agree, naps are good, any kind of exercise (not too close to bedtime) is good, yoga is AWESOME (but I'm not sure where you would find the time when moving), herbal tea before bed?, bubble bath? By the way, I never really caught onto rewards at the beginning but I do believe they are extremely important in order to get over the blahs. My shower curtain (the plastic part) was a scummy and I got a thrill out of buying a new one instead of cleaning the old (total cost of reward $8.00) Pedicures, new bubble bath, nice things for your new house, a visit with a friend....whatever is a reward for you. Take care Windy My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 49 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 997 Amount Saved: $245 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 17 Mins: 35 Seconds: 3

Wow Sharon, that's a great way to sum it up when the going get's tough, because that's how I feel from time to time. "I AM BORED WITH NOT SMOKING!" I think a lot of us have been through that feeling time and again. Good job that it doesn't last. This journey does get better and better, but not without the bumps in the road. Being part of the SSC can really help to smooth those bumps. Your doing wonderfully well. Keep strong Sharon, and keep posting. Hi Sharon, Buying and selling a house is pretty exhausting stuff, I should imagine. The third week is a funny one, too, I think. The 'excitement' of the first couple of weeks is over and we expect to have the quit 'sorted' by then. You're possibly feeling light-headed since you're breathing in all that gorgeous, clean, fresh Irish air ;) In the beginning of my quit, Sharon, I would rely quite heavily on using up my excess energy in the gym (otherwise boyf would get it in the neck!). Perhaps this could help your mind settle. Wishing you all the best, will be looking out for you! McLaughlin, There is good info on here. First off you have been smoke free for 2 weeks. You are currently in Blah Week. By the sounds of it that is how you feel. This too shall pass. Speaking of not sleeping. I either write out a todo list for the next day, then leave it for the next day. Sometimes if I am overwelmed with it. I imigion putting in a evalope and give it to God. I ask him to give it back when I nned it. This is a great way to release the stresses of the day. GIVE IT AWAY.
