Yeah, glad to have found you. I'm close to 145 and would like to stay there or go to 140. I don't mind the weight as much as I do the distribution of it (all tummy). I started to *exercise* today - just a walk, something I don't often do. I'll be watching this thread. Mow mich time do you all set aside to exercise? Thanks. Hi everybody, I am joining this thread too. I have only been a nonsmoker for 8 days but i can feel my pants getting tight and i hate it. I am guessing i am around 155-160, not quite sure but my goal is 135. I am gonna start running tomorrow (try anyways). Good luck to everyone My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 178 Amount Saved: $28 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 14 Mins: 8 Seconds: 35

Hi Wendy, I would appreciate the sites that help count calories. I am another one that never really had to watch my intake, but beside the fact that I have put on 10 pd. since I went back to school and already probably another 10 since my first try at stopping, I am just down right lazy during the winter. I hate the cold and I am to cheap to spend money on a gym. Free info on the web that a careing friend has already checked out would be awsome. Hi all! I'm starting to replace cigs with food. I want to stop it before it really gets away from me. I don't need to lose as much as I need to maintain and stop eating all the time. I don't feel good about myself after I eat all that chocolate! lol I came across a book online called: "The Feel Good Diet" Has anyone heard of it? It lists foods that make you grumpy, happy, etc. I was hoping it would have recipes to use for all that happy food! I'm thinking of buying it, and wondered if anyone has heard anything about it. I'm really want to learn to eat healthier and feel better! I enjoyed reading all your posts here. You are making the diet sound fun! Hi All, Would love to get in on this :) I am going to really try and focus on weight loss (as well as the not smoking of course) but I am finding that focusing on losing some weight is taking my mind off the smoking and I am feeling pretty positive.. I have joined an on line weight loss site, it's counting points, not calories.. but would love to share and chat with you all as we go through our journey.. I have quite a bit to lose but am just going to focus on a week at a time.. Current weight 190lbs, wanting to lose 1 - 2 lbs per week..maybe we can share recipes as well, I am going to be trying some this weekend. Think I will focus on low cal "treats" since I am snacker... I am not sure where to post, I get these diet threads all mixed up. Anyway, I lost 3 lbs this past week. My goal for the next week is to walk 5 days, instead of 3, to lose another 3 lbs would be awesome. I have officially started today. I am doing low fat, low sugar, and tracking everything that I put in my mouth. I walked for 30 minutes after dinner tonight. I had my 6 glasses of water. I want to lose 40 pounds, I need to lose 15 by the middle of Feb (sister's wedding).
