Hi, 2tone: Great going! I would definitely NOT drink, as Kaiti and Deli already said; no point in setting yourself up that way!
There would probably be as many different reactions to your "preaching," or just announcing that you have quit, as there are people who hear you say it, but I have found that most of my smoking friends are cool about not smoking at me.
I spent yesterday afternoon with a smoking friend, and the entire day before, too, and what I had not noticed before (Well, yes, I did notice it, but not with such clarity) was how much TIME the HH (Horrible Habit) took: whatever we were doing, my friend had to stop, go outside, have a few puffs. I very nobly resisted commenting on this. But I spent a certain amount of time waiting, during which I thought about all the cool ways I can now spend all that extra time. And money. And energy.
Just curious: are you related to the old 80's record label from UK called 2 Tone?
Let us know how the party went, and what worked the best; it's what we will all deal with fairly often.
