{offers flipper to shake on it] thanks Phil - I just figured you might have trouble throwing me and my giant fishness anyway. Hi again Penguin, you've probably seen some of these links but I wanted to include them here for your reading pleasure. I just know when I first started my quit how valuable it was to connect with people who had experienced similar feelings. What I've discovered is that by and large we all experience the same feelings/emotions to a greater or lesser degree depending on our personal constitutions and we all process them differently. Anyway, I'll give you these links to these much more eloquent and articulate quitters in our ranks (in no particular order): Darkmyer's Withdrawal Listand .Great Blue Yonder Pyromate's Storyjust read this recently myself - good story CobenFan's Horsesvery relevant to, well, life in general I'll leave this for last because it has links within it that cover so much ground, you could be reading 'til the cows come home...Hummybird's QUITQUITQUIT... There are many more as I'm sure you are aware, I just wanted to put some that really touched me in a place for you to easily access them. I wish you the best, Penguin. Way back when, I said I'd keep my eye on you - well, I'm a fish and that's the best I can do... unless you are directly in front of me then I just might be able to see you with both eyes at the same time ;) All my best, Todd now, fight the good fight and claim your freedom My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 385 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,561 Amount Saved: $1925 Life Gained: Days: 51 Hrs: 1 Mins: 56 Seconds: 11

now you're fighting fire with fire - good thinkin' each string that binds you that is broken loosens this addiction's grasp - one at a time, you will prevail! how 'bout a little formaldehyde? No thanks!

Penguin, it was a great learning experience reading your posts...thanks for the reference to it. If I have learned nothing in the past I have learned that attitude is the end all end all.

Penguin, I didn't use the patch but I have heard a lot of quitters experience a bit of craving and everything when they come off the patch. Remember this is part of your healing. You have done great and will continue to do so. As for your friend, life still happens when we quit. Almost any situation could be an excuse to go back to smoking. Success means we ride those times out. You are doing an awesome job! I am so proud of you. Lady. Penguin, Grab a hold of that little guy and cuddle away. There isn't anything greater in the world. I grabbed a hold of mine the other night when I was down and held him so close to me. It makes everything in the world better. The innocence of that child that just wants you to hold them. You are doing great. Take each day as it comes. I am so proud of you. You are right, this isn't as bad as last week and next week really will be better.
