want to quit smoking for good

You can quit. It won't be easy but you can do it. I'm on day 3 of my quit. It's been hard but I know if I'm having a hard time I can come here. There will be someone who's been there, done that and can help.

Hello, I have jsut taken my first Zyban pill about ten minutes ago and have set my quit date for March 7. I am truly terrified that I am gonna fail at this attempt but am willing to try my best. Any advice?

Hey Patty, I am quitting on March 7 with Zyban. I think we are both new at this so maybe we can help each other over the rough spots?

TextText :)i am so happy to be on my 2nd day...and the patch is helping..i'll just worry now what will happen without it...however..its looking good so far...have taken the advice of water and everytime i was wanting to eat last night..i just drank some ice water and the feeling passed..its the hand to mouth problem that i face now...thinking of how great it is to feel the support of others and just knowing others are going through this with me is awesome...they say misery loves company..right...;-)

to angelcapp i have to say..those feelings u are feeling are what i feel when i try to quit without the patch..so i am worried after patch is gone..i will feel the same..with depression and all..its a definite loss in life but i am focusing on the fact that it is something i need to lose..the bad habit of smoking.......however i do hit the sack as early as possible so as not to focus on "no cigarettes" its hard getting used to but its a feeling i'm trying so hard to embrace..again with all the support and being able to express all these feelings--is a good thing for me..........one day at a time...amen.....
