Hi Tenn,
Whatever it takes. If the patches give you more confidence, then go for it. There are some pretty amazing quits here due to these patches, too. Just make sure you are led by a doctor, these things are not to be taken lightly!
Sending you big bags of courage!

Hi Tennielle
I see you are ready and congratulations on day one. I was a partial patch user and you know it really, really takes the edge off the quit so used it and this time use it for the duration. It is not cheating, it is a good way to quit and it works. No one says that you have to suffer to quit smoking take the easiest route available and stick to it. Let us know how you do.
Tennielle.... i was absolutely terrified and what a wonderful way to describe it coz for me, this IS how it felt except i jumped head first..... I am not 115days smoke free. I bought a new pack the morning i quit, had 2 sickarettes out of it and quit. I wanted to be smoke free so bad that no matter what i was going to do it if it killed me!
We are all here to help you, drink lots of cold water, pop mints, read and post. Do whatever it takes sweetie.

Tennielle , you can do this, 5 mins after I quit, I regretted it ( that was insecurity)look at me now ,,, It can be done one day at a time :)Marie

Everyone has given excellent advice.
Hold your breath and jump on in! The water feels GREAT once you get accustomed to the temperature! :)

Tennielle, you can do it but write down WHY you want to do this. I carry my list with me because it is a kind reminder of why I quit. I sometimes forget when the going gets tough. Its hard but everyone's quit is their own. Come here often and we will help you through it.
Hugs
Kim

Coming in on the tail end I can see everyone has offered very god advice and yes, you must be brave and fight hard. Make your goals an hour at a time if you need to. Stay strong and you definitely have support here.
Really, welcome here and know that we all know what you're going through and that it can be extremely challenging or it can be pretty good. Making the decision and moving forward is the first and most important step.
