Ahhh, those were the days; when real despair commanded 30 responses in the first 30 hours!

If I remember rightly, Tutti made it!!

MRSD, it sure does get better. You read my Day 3 and now I'm on Day 51. I did the same thing you did too. Day 1 and 2 wasn't too bad at all. But Day 3....Well, you can tell that it was kicking my butt all over the place. I was about to cave when I came here to the site first. Just being advised and supported by people who DO understand made me feel better. Day 4 wasn't too bad for me because I know the nicotine was finally out of my system and by Day 5, I felt so much better. From then until now, I have good days and bad days but it's getting so much easier. I was starting NOT to believe folks when they told me that it gets easier but they weren't yanking my chain. It really does get easier. While you're going through hard days, post, read and vent a lot. We'll come running and I do promise...it will get easier. Hang in there, okay? Stay Strong, Tutti Angel, I'm so glad you were here today for MRSD while I was away. mrsd Hang in there, we all felt that way when we first quit. It does get better. I know you don't feel that way right now, but you will. Take some naps, sometimes it helps to sleep more at this time. Try and distract yourself with other things. And most importantly try and keep positive. Think of all the good things that you are doing for yourself. You'll smell better, your skin will be smoother, your breathing will be better. There are tons of reasons. This site is great for help and support so please keep coming back here. And let us know how we can help. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,017 Amount Saved: $200 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 7 Mins: 22 Seconds: 17

I'm on day 3 and just seeing your message made me feel like I wasn't alone in this... I feel the same way... days 1 and 2 I could manage but day 3 is the worst... I'm afraid I'll feel this way forever... I'm not myself... I'm a miserable person that I can't stand right now!!! I continually have thoughts that tell me why I should smoke right now... like a little devil sitting on my shoulder convincing me to do it... but I haven't yet because I know I'll feel worse if I do. The main point of this is I can completely sympathize. Check in tomorrow... I'm curious to see if our emotions change... My MY Tuttie, Look how far we've come!! All of us...but especailly you. It would have been so easy to cave. Aren't you glad you stuck it out to begin to see what the other side of the fence is like? Imagine when we finally get totally on the otherside. Tutti, I just love the title of this post. When you look back, you can chuckle. Hopefully the worst is over now. I'm sure there are still moments along the way, but they are manageable now. Congratulations on 50 smoke free days. Your journey is amazing. Keep up the great work, Cheers, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/13/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 86 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,596 Amount Saved: $774 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 17 Mins: 33 Seconds: 26

Tutti, we're like roller derby players, you sling me along and I sling you along! Your post about heart flutters has gotten me through many a bad time in the last few days although I am now having a day now and then when I don't even think of smoking. Then the next day - it's back. So I know it's getting better.
