does anyone feel that acidity can cause a panic attack???

Hi, I read your posted message and was amazed to find someone with similar problems to my husband's. His panic attacks always seem to come with gas and belching. We can't figure out which causes which. I've read that panic attacks can cause increased acidity and gas, but sometimes it seems the other way around in him, that the gas causes a panic attack. He gets panic attacks so severe along with the increased gas that it looks like seizures. Don't know which causes which but it's reassuring to know he's not the only one. Cloie99 :)

I sure do. I have a hiatus hernia and acid reflux. My attacks become prolonged because the acid in my stomach puts pressure on my heart. Then I start throwing up. It's horrid. I've just spent the last few days like this.

Can you make sure you are drinking caffeine free tea and try to not smoke for a few days and see if you are any better? If this does help then you might want to consider if you can quit smoking for good and lay off the caffeine for awhile, it might be worth it. I understand how hard this is, but I did both of these things and it really helped.
