Thank you all for responding! It's good to know. I'm not even going to try and analyze what I was so sad about, because I honestly don't know. I feel better now. So onward we go! Thanks again! I loved the link to the post. It was quite helpful. You guys are great! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 13 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 138 Amount Saved: $25.09 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 14 Mins: 32 Seconds: 46

Does that sound familiar to anybody? Gosh...I had this emotional breakdown today. I'm usually not very emotional. Bawled like the world was coming to an end, and still am not sure what it was all about. I hope I don't have to try and understand that one, because I thought my life was pretty good when I got up this morning. By afternoon, it had ended, although nothing had changed. What's this about? Happen to anybody else? Interesting - It happens to many, many people. I seemed to be better at cranky, whiney and depressed but you are one of several people who have shed tears along the way. Personally, I believe that tears can be cathartic (Is that the right word?) and we have the right to be emotional basket cases for AT LEAST 3 weeks and periodically thereafter. Yes, it's totally normal when quitting. Read LET THEM FALL to see just how NOT alone you really are! Everybody does it and it can definitely be therapeutic. It's OK to cry - it's just not OK to smoke! Just hang in there. You're doing awesome! Crave the Quit! I got teary-eyed reading your post. Reminded me of all the tears I have shed since quitting. Quitting does something to that coat of armour you were wearing before..... Interesting, Totally normal! Almost every quitter does this at least once. Just as BFS said it's ok to cry and let it all out. Quitting is frustrating. Also keep in mind that smoking send your brain a message to release chemicals that aid in lifting mood. Now that you've quit, it's almost like you have a deficit. You're body isn't use to having to produce it without the cue from nicotine. Don't worry this will pass with time. Hang in there and be kind to yourself today! Interesting.. I have cried a river of tears. When we quit, we have to learn to deal with our emotions without the crutch of smoking. Don't worry about it. This time will pass. Congratulations on your awesome quit.
