Tojo, first of all, how long how long have you been smoke free? I'm struggling as well. We had leftover Hallowe'en candy. Need I say more. Don't be too hard on yourself. You have done an absolutely awesome thing by giving up smoking. And that's no easy task!!!! Be proud of yourself for starters. There's some great websites out there with lots of lower fat recipes and some of them look really good! Get out there and walk too, that helps. Keep your chin up, and hang in there, Cheers, Jan

Ohh Tojo...I am right there with you!!! I always exercised before I quit and nothing I do is making anything budge. I feel horrible too, like a big blob. My eating habits need to change...I decided in Feb I will start eating healthy. I am so proud of quitting and you shoud be too.
But I will not give up my quit either!!! I live in the midwest so some winter insulation keeps me warmer. :p But I am with you on the frustration but look at what we accomplished!!!

I posted on this thread about a soup diet that really gives you the boost to lose 6 to 10 lbs in a week then you go on a diet like weight watchers. It can be done, I have done it myself. Exercise allot and watch what you eat. Its allot of work but it is very gratifying to lose and quit too.
Check out the soup diet thread.

I know you gain weight when stopping smoking, I have been really trying and I just can't seem to lose any. I walked everyday for a month and saw no results. I feel so ugly and fat. I am not thinking of smoking again, which is great, but I feel horrible. I need help!
