But honestly, too much time alone can be a bad thing. I think Sparky said H.A.L.T. Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired. We have too much time to think when we are alone. I agree...off to the mall, the gym, the library, for a walk or to visit a non-smoker - anywhere where you will be distracted and not exposed to smoking. I always recommend going to bed early....but I think 11 in the morning might be abit too soon. Get out those tools that you used during week 1 and week 2...they passed and this phase will too! Hi Cheermom, hope you're doing better. The alone time is hard I agree. My temporary roommates moved out this past week and though they were smokers I've been finding it harder without them here than when they were here. Anyways, don't let that Nicodemon get you. Sometimes I feel like that as well---like I can't trust myself. Perhaps instead of alone time/alone time, you can try alone time in public. Go by yourself out to eat. Go people watch at the mall (get popcorn for this activity-it's really a lot of fun!). Go to a store that offers craft or do-it-yourself workshops on Saturdays. Gosh, Cheermom, hope this passes soon! Ok I'm counting to 10: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10, which is also how many people I am supposed to wait to respond. SOMEONE PLEASE RESPOND!!! I'm here cooking (well learning) and well, I'm hacking my lungs - go figure, I haven't coughed the entire time I quit until now. I'm thinking I know one way to temporarily get rid of that cough - smoke. BAM out of the blue I'm thinking this. Then I figure ok, remove myself to another area so I get inteh car and drive. Well BAM I'm like boy a smoke would be good (NOT really and I know this but hell who cares). So I go to my mother's house BIG MISTAKE - smokers everywhere there. So I leave. I'm trapped people and well no matter what I do I THINK I want one but honestly I dont. What the heck is wrong with this warped thinking. I'm all by myself (my reward is no screaming kids and no hubby so I can teach myself some new recipes) and I dont trust myself. Totally not right. Can use my cell to call cause here i am typing on computer and cell doesn't work in my house. What is a girl suppose to do? Made it through the rest of the day and even made 2 recipes (they even tasted good). I agree, I love alone time, just not as much. As for today, My husband reaffirmed why I quit in the first place. Its snowing here (well in the foothills and mountains) and ha ha ha he has to go outside. That is one of my reason for quitting I put down over 5 months ago. Not to have to sit outside this winter. Plus he plain old STINKS. Yuck. Another reason why. So everyone, thanks so much for "smacking me" aside the head. Smoking wouldn't have changed it and the craves will come and go. I just need to push nic away quicker instead of letting him entice me first. That was dumb. Anyways, told everyone I wouldn't break my weekend promise I put here on Friday, and Monday I want to join the parade of non-smokers.
