I blew my quit

17 years ago 0 925 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi jeanigirl, I look at it this way. If you're going somewhere on a horse and you fall off do you walk the next hundred miles on foot or do you just jump back on and ride it out to your destination? Iv'e fallen off many times but my horse is still with me, so I'm jumping back on mine. You can it this time...I hear it gets easier with each try!

Hi, sorry to hear about the relapse. But please please go on the next quit right now or asap. I have quite and restarted many times. The avg. time between quits is 3 years. The odds of a smoking quiting for two years is only 1 in 20! So, you are at an important cross-road. Do you want to beat those filtly cigs or become a satistic? Please stop now, stay close, and post often! jeanigirl, I'm glad you're back to do this again. You did it before, so you can definitely do it again.
To be honest i would rather do hell week again, than keep on smoking for the rest of my life
Great! Then we are definitely here to help you make it through Hell Week and beyond. Just remember to follow through on your plan to post BEFORE you smoke!!! This support group can't help you if you don't ask us for help! Just remember that we're always here for you, but have have to post FIRST, k?
I know one thing for sure, you can not control this addiction, it controls you
Actually, you ARE in control! A plant cannot control you. It has only as much power as YOU give it. YOU are stronger than the addiction! You CAN overcome it! Do not believe for a second that this addiction has more control than you do. That's just not true! YOU have the power to smoke or not smoke. So glad you're here to choose to not smoke. We're here to help you! Welcome back. Crave the Quit!
