This is the hardest thing I have ever tried to do. So far, so good but I'm not in the clear yet

My poor dog hasn't sat still since I started to quit. I guess it's good for both of us. Maybe I'll use the money I'm saving on cigs and roll it into a gym membership somewhere. No, but a reward of some sort would be nice. Golf during the work week would be nice but that's where I did a lot of smoking so I better find a new hobby. Maybe chess... Keep posting - it will help get you through the hard times. The first two weeks are definately the worst but I know that I have so many more new skills to learn yet. Fortunately, there are so many helpful people here to provide support and advice when we feel like we are stumbling! One day at a time! The more you play golf without smoking, the more you will disassociate golf and smoking. You don't have to give up golf, but if you need to take a break from it until you feel stronger in your quit, by all means do so. Exercise is a good alternative. It helps alleviate stress/anxiety. Hey JD, I just hit two weeks today. I think everyday is getting easier...however I still feel the need to guard my quit and protect my self from all the demons that are out there. I am just taking it one day at a time, and that seems to be the best thing for me. You can do it!!!!
